Until the early 20th-century jaw harp was a very popular Russian folk instrument. During the 20th century Russian tradition of playing and crafting jaw harp had been almost completely lost. And only at the end of the century the situation began to improve. Along with the "rehabilitation" and the growing interest in Russian pagan culture, the Russian people also became interested and jew's harp.
