TO MOVE OR NOT TO MOVE THAT’S THE QUESTION?

TO MOVE OR NOT TO MOVE THAT’S THE QUESTION?

I am often asked the question: is it ok  to move or dance while playing? The question is not at all idle, since the first thing to be mastered is the playing stance. And it has the same number of subtleties as qigong stances. In general, this is qigong, but less traditional. And it is absolutely not clear how the movement fits in here, is it necessary at all ...?

Let's start a little from afar. From the very desire to start playing the jew's harp. It does not grow out of the blue, but is the end point in the chain of cause and effect that leads a person to rigidity. Those. a way of life in which the vast majority live. Rather gray and routine.

A person dwells in his narrow tunnel of reality, and this tunnel grows in his body with many motor stereotypes.

But the very essence of a person exists for another. It is very mobile, curious and prone to constant comprehension. It is that essence which leads a person to the new horizons and to playing a jew's harp ????

And if a certain tune causes an irresistible desire to move - one needs to completely obey! Figuratively speaking, at such moments the human soul comes to life. And it needs to be given freedom of expression.

The moment in which the soul starts to move is beautiful and joyful.  And if you also use some rules, then there will be much more joy.

1) If the body is in motion, then there should be no tense or motionless areas. Try to connect everything to the very last cell. And you will feel the dance of life in yourself.

2) Accept natural positions for yourself. The joint system should be balanced and the muscle traction should be stable. Try to apply all the rules that we talked about in previous topics, your body should be like an empty vessel which is being filled by the flow of music and that flow will guide your motion.

The correct jaw harp playing stance is the starting point, a kind of portal entrance, as I call it. But if you have learned to enter, and your body strives for further movement, you should know that you are on the right path, and it will only get more interesting further.
