The sound of this kalimba is amplified by a resonator body made of a mahogany tree , the sound is deep, yet not too long to allow rhythmic melodies to be played.

The Nokema company produces high quality kalimbas and this was their first model simply called "Kalimba Classic". They have been making this instrument for over 20 years and still do today. During this time, the appearance has practically not changed. Like all HOKEMA instruments, this model can be easily played even by a child and completely unprepared person.

There are two finger holes at the bottom of the body that produce a vibrato effect when closed / open.

The nine reed tones are tuned to the A minor pentatonic scale. As all notes harmonize with each other, beginners will also enjoy immediate success with their instrument.
